A campaign to raise awareness for the prevention and the fight against breast cancer

On 24th October 2014, ACSIM presented a multilingual spot “Take Care Of You” about the prevention and the fight against breast cancer, also created thanks to the contribution of the organization “Susan G. Komen Italia”. This spot was made on the occasion of the conference organized to celebrate the seventeen years of activity of the Association.

The spot is part of a larger awareness and information project on the screening of female cancers and on the use of social health services, available in the territory. It is dedicated to women who live in the province of Macerata, focusing in particular on foreign women.

The 6 videos, available on the Youtube channel of ACSIM, have been directed using 18 languages: Italian, English, French, Spanish, Chinese, Urdu, Wolof, Ibo, Farsi, Dari, Arabic, Indi, Albanian, Ukrainian, Russian, Polish, Amharic and Rumanian, with the precious partecipation of women who work in ACSIM and thanks to the professional contribution of the filmaker Silvia Luciani.

During the conference, also two representatives of “Susan G. Komen Italia” partecipated. For more than 10 years, this organization has worked in the national territory with activities and projects aimed to raise awareness of women about the prevention and to support research through fund-raising. Its goal is to promote the manifestation “Race for the Cure”, dedicated to health, sport and wellness, which takes place every year in some of the larger Italian cities.
